Project Partners

The SUDEVAB project consortium is composed of representatives of the three groups of players the project brings together:.

Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) engaged in abalone aquaculture
Research and Technical Development institutions (RTDs) carrying the needed research effort forward
Specialised sub-contractors supporting the research work using their existing facilities and specialised knowledge

Additionally, an Industrial Consultancy Group (ICG) complements the consortium. Its role is that of a discussion body interacting with project partners to develop ideas and concepts that are compatible for sustainable abalone aquaculture with products that meet the European market needs and providing dessemination links between SUDEVAB partners and the shellfish aquaculture sector in the EU.

SUDEVAB is funded by the financial support of the Commission of the European Communities
under the EC's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7, 2007-2013) in the grant-funded
Capacities Programme — Research for the Benefit of Specific Groups (in particular SMEs).

Results and publications produced by SUDEVAB do not necessarily reflect the EC's views
and in no way anticipate the Commission's future policy in this area.
